Spelling Bee In My Bonnet

To one who was stumped if the word ecstasy was spelt extasy, my answer: “That is ec.”
A: “May be for you.”
I: “No I meant ‘ec’as in ecstasy.” A doesn’t get it. So I beginning to get uneasy: “ Look I get ecstasy in one touch and some don’t. So it must be easy. ”
A: “May be for you.”
Finally I sent the person to look up the dictionary.
