WHAT SANTA DIDN'T TEACH ME
How To Celebrate* Christmas with almost Nothing
*All that takes is a little time and effort. I guarantee you a Christmas your friends will envy you for. I can think of ten ideas in one sitting but writing them down isn’t as simple as it used to be. So I shall simply give one for a starter.
Name of The Game: UP ‘N DOWN WISHLIST©
You and your wife can take part in it and its success depends on playing by the ear at every turn. It calls for imagination, verve and spontaneity.
Number of players: Two
What is needful?
1.Some 20 envelopes ( old used ones are ok.)
2. 20 small pieces of paper( but large enough for writing down with a marker pen) Both sides must be used. Paper is not to be folded.
3. 2 Marker pens with different colors for each partner. Atleast one week before Christmas eve each partner should declare what each color stands for. One color for one side only.
How To Play
1. Each should make a wish list for ten items. It is HOT: the most precious but that money cannot buy ( according to its value in ascending order). On the backside write with another color( indicating COOL side of the wish list.) Here items begin with what is top end in cost and progressively goes down. The wishlist by each partner must be kept secret and are to be searched in the days by the other preceeding and opened on Christmas Eve.
Time and place where the envelopes are to be opened (at the parlor or over the dining table etc.,) have to be decided beforehand so both can fully get into the mood of the game.
