Representational Man

Man can explain almost everything in Nature except say why he needs to go to such a length. Who put that thirst to know? I still wonder.
Is there a point beyond which search becomes waste of time? It cannot be if he is searching for everyone else. In his finding he may not stand to benefit himself but generations now unborn may eat the fruit of his labor.
