Religion is whiter than snow; so is every system of Government set in place to remedy certain abuses come to be perceived with the former. But man brings with him his own odium, of being neither here nor there. As a result his religion suffers. He speaks of God and in practice he is ass-kissing Mammon for a couple of dollars more than the Joneses might earn. In Politics what do you see? Rats do not even leave the sinking ship but must gnaw at every life line thrown down.
