On Fame-1

Fame is like a tree that is a world in itself. What it supports at its cover or in the midbranches is not the same at the groundcover. Its spread and magnificent bearing to the point of arrogance may be at the expense of many seeds that sprouted unfortunately too close for their growth. No matter. The tree still has its fame secure. Has it not in splendour received the homage of birds that called on and sent them on their way? Or treated so many species of animals to its bountiful supply of nuts and flowers? It counts its days in centuries, and in seeds dropped as a family extending all over the globe.
Fame is in that the entire rain-forest being represented in the wellbeing or distress of that single tree. The tree may in time be destroyed by natural cases and other reasons but fame is secure. It is carried over by everyother tree in that forest that owes something to the dear departed.
